Developing Social Skills
We all need the skills to ensure we can get along with others, make friends, and handle social situations. Strong social skills make for better relationships, boost emotional intelligence, build self-esteem, and improve learning and mental health in children and young people. These skills are crucial for success in school, work, and personal life.
For many families, particularly of neurodiverse children (Autism, ADHD, etc), this can become an area of great concern and having the compassionate understanding and support, as well as practical strategies to build social capacity is not only essential, it can help us to feel not so frustrated and alone!
An example of one of many social/emotional programs is What's the Buzz. For more information click here.
